Terminal UI
Compose the interactive Host, stream Turns, interrupt work, and resume Transcripts.
@mitome/tui is an interactive Host built on OpenTUI and Solid. Activation is explicit: package presence alone does not select it.
mitome add @mitome/tuiimport { defineMitome, fileTranscripts } from "@mitome/sdk";
import { tui } from "@mitome/tui";
export default defineMitome({
agent,
hosts: [tui()],
transcripts: fileTranscripts(),
});Run mitome to open an empty Session, or mitome "first prompt" to open it with the first Turn pre-submitted.
Controls
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
Alt-Enter | Submit the multiline prompt. Paste is supported. |
Escape | Interrupt the active Turn and keep the Session usable; close the Transcript picker when open. |
Ctrl-O | List stored Transcripts with update time and first-user-message preview. |
Up / Down | Move through the Transcript picker. |
Enter | Resume the selected Transcript into a new Session. |
Ctrl-N | Start a fresh Session without restarting the process. |
Ctrl-C | Exit and release the current Session. |
Transcript list, resume, and new-Session commands are available while idle. Interrupt a running Turn first. Starting a new Session does not modify the prior Transcript. Resuming seeds a new Session with committed messages and records fork lineage after the next completed Turn.
If the Mitome Definition omits transcripts, Ctrl-O reports that persistence is not configured and performs no store access. Add transcripts: fileTranscripts() to share history with one-shot runs.
Streaming and Tools
Model text and Tool activity appear as the Turn runs. Escape interrupts stream consumption; partial output from that Turn is discarded from committed history and persistence. See CLI Host behavior for Approval policy.
TTY fallback
When the declared Host's unsupported() check returns a reason, the CLI prints it and falls back. See CLI Host behavior for one-shot and non-TTY fallback.
Clean exit disposes the view model and closes the Session scope. Completed Turns are already persisted at their commit boundary; idle shutdown does not rewrite or corrupt a Transcript.
